Stephanie Fisher
MUSEUM & GALLERY DIRECTOR
Stephanie Fisher is a native of Scott City and brings with her 25 years of service in school administration, public relations, and library sciences. She has served as an aide to the Chancellor at University System of New Hampshire, Public Relations and Administrative Assistant to the Headmaster at Portsmouth Christian Academy, and as a children's librarian, grant writer, and public advocate here in Scott County.
Stephanie graduated from Scott Community High School in 1989 and attended the University of Kansas and the University of New Hampshire where she graduated with a degree in Communications & Public Advocacy. She received her Kansas Public Library Certification in 2004 from the State Library of Kansas and Emporia State University. Howard and Stephanie have three children they have raised in Scott City. Stephanie has a deep heritage in Scott City and a love for the community.

Dennie Siegrist
COLLECTIONS MANAGER & HISTORIAN
Dennie Siegrist serves the Scott County Historical Society in many ways. He acts as the Facility Manager, performing general operation duties and light maintenance, cataloging and storage of items, and presentation of museum and gallery tours.
Dennie was born in Garden City, but grew up in Scott City. He graduated from Scott Community High School in 1950, joining the Navy in October of 1951. Dennie served until he was released to the Navy Reserve in 1955, later discharged in 1958. Always interested in the local history of Scott County, he spent a lot of his childhood running, fishing, and riding horses over the hills of Scott State Park. Dennie’s passion for Indian lore and history punctuates his interest in the Historic Bus Tours, especially of the Battle Canyon site. He and his wife, Marilyn, enjoy traveling when the opportunity arises

Leanna Hoeme
Museum Assistant
Leanna has a rich heritage in Kansas and has become an integral part of our history journey at Scott County Historical Society. Her ingenuity leads her to many a projects whether it be gardening, enjoying taking pictures of the local scenery, or being with friends and family. Leanna and Isac have one daughter who is studying Aviation Maintenance.

Kristopher Super
WESTERN KS FOSSIL LAB DIRECTOR
Kristopher Super is the Director of the Western Kansas Fossil Lab, which opened in April 2023. He is currently prepping a very rare elasmosaur, a specimen under study for publication. In addition to this find, Kris retains many other rarities in one of the largest private fossil collections in Kansas.
Kris holds a degree in Geology with an emphasis in Paleontology from Fort Hays State University (FHSU) and a Master’s in Education from FHSU. He also studied at the University of Kansas and has worked with the Sternberg Museum, KU Museum of Natural History, University of Michigan and the Burke Museum at University of Washington Seattle. In addition, Kris taught for four years as the Physical Science Teacher at Scott Community High School.
